Hi!! My name is Mrs. Racquel House. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach your child this year. Together, we will make this year one of the best!
This is my fifth year as a teacher, and my fourth year at Hollywood Park Elementary School. I have previously taught 1st grade and 2nd grade, but third grade is my favorite. 
I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful class of third graders this year. Hollywood Park Elementary is a great school, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
I grew up right here in Broward county and went to elementary school just down the street. I recently got married. (That's why the web address is rlavigne.) I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in November of 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. Last summer I earned my certification in Exceptional Student Education. In addition, I just earned my Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction & Technology from Nova Southeastern this summer. I am enjoying the continuation of my education.
In addition to teaching third grade, I am also the Student Council Sponsor this year. I enjoy participating in helping to improve our already great school!
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book, scrapbooking and crafting.
Teaching is my passion. I can't imagine doing anything else. I am looking forward to a year full of excitement and learning!
